A man was killed in a suspected firing incident at Halasi village in Khanapur taluk on Sunday night. The village, located within a forested area, has led police to believe that hunters may have been involved in the shooting.
The victim has been identified as Altaf Makandar, aged 30, who suffered a bullet wound to the chest. The Nandgarh police have launched an investigation into the incident. On Monday morning, North zone IGP Vikas Kumar Vikash visited the site and gathered details from senior police officers regarding the case.
