MLA Sasikala Jolle visited G.M. Sankapala High School in Sripewadi village on Sunday to assess the situation following a fire in the school’s computer laboratory on Saturday, reportedly caused by an electrical short circuit.
Speaking at the site, she stated that “25 computers in the lab have been destroyed. New computers will be provided through the MLA’s grant, and the room will be repaired at the earliest.”
She added, “Over 800 students study at this school and need computer skills in today’s competitive environment. Efforts will also be made to secure additional government grants.”
School officials, including President Dr. Ashok Poojary, Vice President Avinash Patil, Director Dattatreya Vadagave, along with Gajanan Shinde, Samita Sasane, Siddu Narate, Prabhakar Patil, Sagar Chendake, Pintu Sasane, Sagar Patil, Baburao Latakar, Vijaya Jabde, Prashanth Patil, Headmaster J.S. Jadhav, and local villagers were present during the visit.
