A 30-year-old man has been arrested after his 25-year-old wife was found dead at their home in Machche, Belagavi district, on Saturday.
Police took Neelesh Neeladkar into custody based on a complaint from the relatives of his wife, Anita, who was discovered dead in the house.
The couple had been married for four months, and the complaint stated that Anita was pregnant. Her family suspects that she was killed by her husband.
An investigation is underway.
