Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi, has set a new record in academic efficiency by announcing the final semester results for B.E., B.Tech., B.Plan., B.Arch., and B.Sc. (Honours) programs just one hour after the exams concluded.
The results were released at 6:30 PM on May 30, covering 50,321 students from the 2021 batch, according to VTU Vice-Chancellor Prof. S. Vidyashankar. This marks a significant milestone, surpassing the university’s previous benchmarks.
In comparison, VTU had declared results for 43,662 students from the 2019 batch within two days on May 30, 2023, and for 37,011 students of the 2020 batch within three hours on May 30, 2024. The current announcement stands out as the fastest so far.
Additionally, VTU confirmed that results were shared directly with students via WhatsApp, streamlining communication.
This prompt result declaration is expected to help students with timely placements and higher education admissions. Students who have cleared all semesters can begin applying online for their Provisional Degree Certificates (PDCs) from May 31, with distribution starting on June 3. Those opting for revaluation should wait until results are finalized before applying for the PDC.
