In a tragic incident on Sunday, a woman and her daughter lost their lives after being struck by lightning in Hittanagi village near Saundatti, Belagavi district.
The victims, Gangavva Jiragiwad and her daughter Kalavati, were returning home from their farmland carrying a haystack when the lightning struck. Their bodies were later discovered. Saundatti Police visited the site and carried out the necessary legal procedures.
