Kannada Medium Student to Be Felicitated by Kannada Committee. Roopa Channagouda Patil, a student of Government Composite Junior College in Devalapur near Bailhongal, Belagavi district, has secured full marks in the SSLC exams, emerging as one of 22 students across the state to achieve 100 percent. A Kannada medium student, Roopa scored full marks in all subjects, including languages.
Aiming to become a doctor, Roopa plans to pursue Science in PUC. She mentioned studying for nearly eight hours a day while also helping her mother with household work.
Roopa’s father, Channagouda, is a farmer, and her mother, Latha, is a homemaker. Her elder sister Vaishnavi scored 90 percent in PUC, while her younger brother Samarthgouda is in Class 6.
The central committee of Kannada organisations will honour Roopa at the Deputy Commissioner’s office in Belagavi on Saturday, presenting her with a cheque for ₹5,000.
