Yasir Narsadi, a resident of Ujwal Nagar, has been apprehended once again for allegedly pelting stones at the Ashwathama temple located in Pangul Galli, Belagavi, during the intervening night of Monday.
This marks the second such incident involving Yasir in less than a month. He was initially arrested during the Ramzan festival after being caught by local residents for throwing stones at the same temple. At the time, he claimed his actions were in retaliation to certain attire worn by Hindus during the Holi festival.
Police had earlier indicated that the accused appeared to be mentally unstable. In the latest incident, Yasir was again caught by locals while repeating the act and was handed over to the police.
The area, known for its communal sensitivity, remains tense but under control, with heavy police deployment in place. Senior officials have visited the location, and an investigation is currently underway.
