A 19-year-old woman, Keerti Nesargi from Tummurguddi, passed away on Thursday night at Belagavi Institute of Medical Sciences (BIMS) District Hospital, just days after delivering her child via cesarean section.
Keerti had been admitted over a week ago for childbirth and underwent a C-section on Tuesday. However, complications arose due to excessive bleeding, causing her condition to worsen. As her health declined and she lost consciousness, she was moved to the ICU, where she eventually succumbed to blood loss.
Her family has accused the hospital of medical negligence, alleging they were not properly informed about her deteriorating condition. They are now demanding an investigation into the circumstances leading to her death.
