In a tragic incident in Chinchali village, Raibag taluk, Belgaum district, a woman reportedly took her own life after drowning her three children in the Krishna River on Wednesday.
The deceased have been identified as Sharda Dhale (38), her daughters Anusha (10) and Amruta (14), and her son Adarsh (8). Allegedly unable to cope with domestic harassment, she first drowned her children before jumping into the river herself.
Fire and Emergency Services personnel are conducting search operations while Kuduchi police arrive. Further details are awaited.
