Five people, including two children, were injured in an apparent LPG cylinder explosion in Nandagad near Khanapur, Belagavi district, on Thursday.
The injured individuals include 35-year-old Raghunath Basavant Madar, 30-year-old Nagaraj Kolkar, 55-year-old Masanavva Kamble, 26-year-old Manusha Kamble, 3-year-old Prakrut Kamble, and 9-year-old Aradhya Nilajikar, who were hurt in the fire that erupted in the kitchen.
All the victims have been hospitalized and are recovering. Neighbors assisted the family in escaping the house and helped extinguish the flames.
Police arrived at the scene and began an investigation, also notifying the domestic gas company officials.
