A touching story of hope and compassion has emerged from the Swami Vivekanand Seva Pratishthan (Gangamma Chikumbhi Math Bal Kalyan Kendra), where a specially-abled child, who had never experienced parental love, has found a new home. An Italian couple, after 15 years of marriage and unsuccessful attempts to have children, has adopted the boy and promised to offer him the lifelong care and support he deserves.
Born prematurely and abandoned at the district hospital, the child received dedicated care from the Gangamma Chikumbhi Math Bal Kalyan Kendra for over two years, ensuring he got the medical attention and nurturing he needed.
The Italian couple, who had sought various medical treatments in different countries without success, turned to adoption. After completing the legal process and receiving approval from the state government and district administration, they welcomed the child into their home.
The adoptive mother, a physiotherapist, brings valuable expertise in caring for children with special needs, while the father, despite challenges from an accident, lives independently and manages his daily tasks. Their combined experiences and devotion promise the child a future filled with love, care, and support.
With their unwavering dedication, the couple is committed to providing the boy with a life of medical care and opportunities he may not have had otherwise. Their journey highlights the profound impact of adoption, demonstrating love’s power to transcend borders and make a lasting difference for children with special needs.
