The body of a man accused of allegedly molesting a five-year-old girl in a village in Ramadurga taluk was found hanging on Tuesday. The deceased has been identified as Irappa Karadi, 30, a resident of the same village.
As per police investigations, the accused reportedly took the girl to his house while she was playing outside. It is suspected that he hanged himself out of fear after the incident came to light.
The body has been sent to the district hospital for a post-mortem examination, police said. A case has been registered at the Ramadurga police station.
