A 45-year-old businessman tragically lost his life when his car plunged into the Ghataprabha river in Benakanaholi village, near Hukkeri, Belagavi district, on Wednesday.
Kiran Lakshmana Navalagi, a resident of Daddi village in Hukkeri taluk, owned a beauty parlor.
Navalagi had taken his car out for a drive on Monday, after which his family reported him missing. On Wednesday, both his body and the vehicle were recovered from the river. A case has been filed at the Hukkeri Police Station.
