Shantanu Salgaonkar, a design professional based in the USA, has been appointed as a judge for the prestigious Silicon Valley UX User Experience Awards. Salgaonkar is currently the Product Design Lead at Meta.
Originally from Belagavi, Salgaonkar studied Graphic Design at the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad. Over the years, he has worked with renowned companies such as Amazon, Intuit, and Communication Arts.
His extensive portfolio includes projects ranging from deodorant packaging and annual reports to comprehensive brand identities and advertising campaigns. Salgaonkar has played a key role in launching several brands and has received multiple accolades for his creative work. Notably, his innovative design of the AWS search experience won two Webby Awards and a patent. His portfolio website was also nominated for the Awards Site of the Day in 2019.
Currently, as the Product Design Lead for Meta’s Core Ads Growth team, he focuses on creating solutions that connect advertisers with the right audiences in the most effective contexts.
The Silicon Valley UX Awards, established in 2021 and based in Palo Alto, California, recognize exceptional user experience and design work globally. The awards, organized by a non-profit entity, celebrate innovative projects and talented individuals in the UX design field.
