A man has been arrested for murdering his minor girlfriend’s mother and brother in Belgaum district, Karnataka after the woman objected to their relationship.
The accused, 32-year-old Ravi, is said to have killed 46-year-old Mangala and her 20-year-old son Prajwal with a sharp weapon on Wednesday night. Police reports indicate that Ravi went to Mangala’s house with his friend Lokesh and informed her that he and her daughter were in a relationship and that he wanted to marry her. This led to a heated argument between the two.
As the dispute intensified, Ravi and Lokesh attacked Mangala and her son, killing them on the spot. They then took the minor girl with them.
Villagers alerted the police, who swiftly formed a special team and apprehended Ravi and his accomplice. The girl was also rescued. Authorities revealed that Ravi had been visiting Mangala’s house for some time, and although Mangala had disapproved of their relationship, it had continued. This disagreement ultimately led to the tragic incident.
