Manjiri T Jibi, a student from St. Joseph’s High School in Belagavi, achieved a remarkable victory by winning the gold medal in the 10-metre shooting event at the Karnataka State School Education Department’s sports meet held in Bengaluru from November 16 to 25.
Competing against over a hundred participants at the Seshadripuram Institute of Commerce and Management (SICM), Manjiri secured first place with an impressive score of 355 out of 400.
Her outstanding performance has qualified her for the national-level sports meet, which will take place in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, from December 19 to 24. Manjiri’s success was shaped by Girish Halabhavi’s coaching in Belagavi and the support of her teacher, Ramesh Alagudekar. The Principal and teachers of St. Joseph’s School extended their heartfelt congratulations on her achievement.
