A shocking incident at a private hospital in Belagavi city has come to light, where a youth brutally attacked a nurse after she turned down his romantic proposal. The attack, which occurred on October 30, was caught on the hospital’s CCTV cameras, as per reports.
The accused, identified as Prakash Jadhav, allegedly attacked the nurse with a machete in a fit of rage. The assault left the nurse severely shaken and reportedly caused immense stress to her family, resulting in her father’s death.
According to police, the accused had been harassing the nurse for some time, persistently pressuring her to marry him. Despite her repeated refusals, Prakash even visited her home with his family to propose marriage, but her family firmly rejected the offer. Enraged by her resistance, he entered the hospital carrying a machete in his bag, stormed into the reception area, and carried out the violent assault.
Police swiftly arrested Prakash Jadhav following the incident, and a case has been filed at the Khadebazar police station. Authorities confirmed that the accused had been stalking the nurse and pressuring her for marriage over an extended period, leading to the horrific attack.
