Science enthusiasts are set to host the Science Hack Day 2024 at Sankalpa Bhumi, Belagavi, from Friday through Sunday. The event will gather engineers, ethical hackers, IT specialists, Free and Open Source Software advocates, and other science enthusiasts.
This year’s theme, focusing on DNA and gene editing, will explore the future of medicine, biology, and beyond. While Science Hack Day is an annual global event, this marks the sixth time it will be held in Belagavi.
Alongside group activities, participants can look forward to live demonstrations, documentaries, and discussions with scientists on cutting-edge topics. The event will also feature fireside chats, stargazing, papermaking, DNA extraction, microscopy, 3D printing, and soldering.
Workshops will cater to students aged 6-12 with a “DIY Science Toys and Electronics” session, while older students, or “young hackers,” can join workshops on “Python 101, Visual Coding, and KuttyPy Microcontroller Programming.”
Competitions like the Paper Plane Contest, Boat Racing, Science Treasure Hunt, and Spaghetti Bridge Challenge will also be held. For more information, visit https://sciencehackday.in or contact Gautam at +91 98454 70292 or Praveen at +91 94825 43803.
