The forest department successfully captured a dangerous monkey, bringing relief to the residents of Ramadurga, Belgaum. The operation commenced early in the morning with the assistance of monkey catchers, but the elusive monkey evaded capture multiple times by returning to the vehicle intended for its capture.
Ultimately, the team succeeded in securing the animal. The people of Ramadurga had been on edge, as 18 individuals were bitten by monkeys over the past two days, prompting many to walk around armed with sticks in an attempt to fend off the animals.
Reports indicate that several individuals suffered serious injuries from monkey bites, with three more attacks occurring just today. Following the successful capture, residents of Nekara Pete expressed their relief and gratitude.
