A college student tragically died after falling from a hostel building in Hirekodi village, Chikkodi taluk, on Tuesday. The victim, identified as Afreen Jamadar, was a 17-year-old resident of Gokak and was staying in the hostel while preparing for her exams.
Details surrounding the incident remain unclear, with authorities investigating whether it was an accidental fall or if she was pushed. Afreen was reportedly studying during the night between Monday and Tuesday when the accident occurred.
Police have arrived at the scene, and the girl’s family has been notified. A case has been registered, and further investigations are underway.
