A tragic incident unfolded in Shindolli village, Belagavi taluk, where a woman lost her life while trying to escape burglars.
The victim, identified as Bharamakka Pujari, attempted to flee when a group of thieves broke into her home late on the night of September 25. In a frantic effort to avoid the intruders, she ran out through the back door but, in her panic, fell into a nearby ditch.
Local residents discovered her body and informed authorities. Marihal police arrived at the scene to investigate, and Pujari’s body was sent to BIMS Hospital for further examination.
