According to the latest report from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Belagavi Airport experienced an 8.3% drop in passenger traffic in August 2024 compared to the previous month.
The decline is primarily due to the cancellation of flights on the Belagavi–Jodhpur, Belagavi–Surat, and Kishangarh routes.
In July 2024, the airport handled 27,860 passengers. However, from January to August 2024, the airport’s total passenger count exceeded 2,35,000.
Belagavi airport offers non-stop flights to eight destinations via two airlines, Indigo and Star Air. Indigo operates on three routes — Bengaluru (twice daily), New Delhi, and Hyderabad, offering daily services. Meanwhile, Star Air services five routes, connecting to Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Nagpur, Jaipur, and Tirupati.
