FlixBus India, a global leader in affordable and sustainable travel technology, has expanded its operations to South India by launching daily bus services from Chennai and Hyderabad to Bengaluru. On September 3, 2024, Shri MB Patil, Karnataka’s Minister for Commerce & Industries, Infrastructure, officially inaugurated the Chennai route during a ceremony at the Ritz Carlton, Bengaluru, in the presence of global Flix leaders, including COO Max Zeumer and Co-founder Daniel Krauss.
Operations in South India are set to begin on September 10, 2024, with 33 new cities and over 200 daily connections across six new routes.
Inaugural routes include:
Bengaluru – Belgaum
Bengaluru – Hyderabad
Chennai – Coimbatore
Bengaluru – Madurai
Bengaluru – Tirupati – Vijayawada
Bengaluru – Chennai
To celebrate this expansion, FlixBus is offering a special promotion with tickets priced at just 99 INR for the new routes around Bengaluru. This offer is available across all sales channels, with the booking period from September 3 to September 15, and travel valid from September 10 to October 6, with no blackout dates.
For the Bengaluru – Belgaum route, the luxury sleeper air-conditioned bus departs from Bengaluru (Majestic) at 9:10 PM and arrives in Belgaum at 6:55 AM the next day. The return journey leaves Belgaum (RTO Circle) at 9:15 PM and reaches Bengaluru at 6:25 AM the following morning.
