The district administration has initiated a round-the-clock helpline to promptly respond to flood risks affecting riverside villages. Heavy rainfall and water discharge from Maharashtra reservoirs have significantly raised the water levels of the Krishna River and its tributaries, leading to potential flooding.
Nearly all rivers across Belgaum district are overflowing, causing various issues. In response, the administration has established helplines for emergency assistance. Citizens can reach out to the flood helpline at 0831-2407290, the police helpline at 0831-2474054, or dial 112 for urgent aid. Officials urge the public to share these contact numbers to aid those in distress.
