Mujawar was riding the bike at a high speed when a cargo motor (MH 11 AL 309) approached from the opposite direction near Sachin Kadate’s farm at a bend near Hindgaon Fatya. The incident occurred on Eid day when they had gone to Amboli for leisure activities, tragically ending their outing.
In response, a case has been filed against Mujawar posthumously for causing his and Momin’s deaths and damaging the car due to reckless driving. Police Head Constable Desai is leading the investigation.
In another incident later that day, a youth from Gokak, identified as 19-year-old Sadiq Imtiaz Mulla, was fatally injured in an accident on the Sawantwadi-Belgaum highway at Amboli-Nangartas. Sadiq and his friends were heading to Amboli for their annual trip when their two-wheeler collided with a pickup truck around 4 pm. Sadly, this outing also turned out to be their last.
