An incident occurred where Jayesh Poojary, a prisoner at Hindalga Jail, was charged after reportedly shouting slogans supportive of Pakistan at a court in Belgaum on Wednesday. Poojary, who was appearing in court for a criminal intimidation case, unexpectedly shouted the slogans, causing disturbance among onlookers.
According to police sources from Deccan Chronicle, bystanders responded by slapping Poojary before police officers intervened and relocated him to a secure area. The reason for his actions is still unknown. There is speculation that he may have done it to draw attention.
Poojary is accused of various offenses, including making threatening phone calls to Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and intimidating senior IPS officer Alok Kumar. On Wednesday, he was brought to the court premises regarding the case involving threats against Alok Kumar.
