Kannada actor Shiva Rajkumar made a recent visit to the renowned Saundatti Yellamma temple. He was in Belgaum for the filming of his upcoming project, Uttarakanda. Expressing his belief in the deity’s blessings, the actor considers seeking her divine intervention essential for the success and prosperity of his ventures. Joining him on the visit were producers Karthik Gowda and Yogi G. Raj, along with his wife Geetha Shiva Rajkumar.
This practice has its roots in his earlier films. In 2003, he visited the temple while filming Sriram. The movie, directed by MS Ramesh, emerged as a blockbuster. Director MS Ramesh, accompanied by Shivanna and the team, also visited the temple during the filming of this movie.
Similarly, in 2010, while shooting for Mylari, he sought blessings from the goddess. Directed by R. Chandru, the movie also achieved significant success. Additionally, a scene from the film’s song was filmed at the temple.
Currently, Shivanna is engaged in filming Uttarakanda, which has already completed shooting in Vijayapur and Belgaum. Upon wrapping up the shoot, he visited the Yellamma temple. The movie, directed by Rohit Padaki, is exclusively set in North Karnataka.
Uttarakanda, a Kannada action-drama film, features a notable ensemble cast comprising Dhananjay, Shiva Rajkumar, Diganth, Aishwarya Rajesh, and Chaitra Achar in lead roles. Additionally, the movie includes Yogaraj Bhat, Gopal Krishna Deshpande, Umashri, Rangayana Raghu, Vijay Babu, and various others in supporting roles.
Shiva Rajkumar is renowned as one of the most prominent actors in the South Indian film arena, having featured in numerous blockbuster movies. With over 130 films to his credit, he celebrated his 38th year in the film industry this year. His cinematic journey began with his debut in the Kannada-language film “Anand” in 1986, when he was just 23 years old. Throughout his career, he has delivered memorable performances in acclaimed movies such as “Janumada Jodi,” “Ratha Sapthami,” “Nammoora Mandara Hoove,” “Om,” and “Chigurida Kanasu.” Additionally, he made a notable cameo appearance in the Rajinikanth-starrer blockbuster film “Jailer.”
