An 11-year-old girl drowned while attempting to rescue her father from drowning in the backwater of Tilari Dam. The tragedy occurred at the Devalaya tourist spot on Wednesday, the 15th. The girl, identified as Fivona Salomon Jamula from Ambedkar Galli, Sulga Belgaon, is currently missing, and search efforts are underway.
Salomon Jamula accompanied his two daughters for a stroll near the backwater region close to the Hajgoli Chaloba Temple. Subsequently, they descended into the water for a bath, unaware of its depth, leading to their struggle. In an attempt to rescue her father from drowning, Fivona leaped into the water but tragically succumbed to drowning herself. While tourists succeeded in rescuing Salomon Jamula, efforts are underway to locate Fivona.
