DSS leaders have alleged that the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, under the BJP-led NDA, is attempting to alter the Constitution. Sridhar Kaliveera, the convenor of DSS committees, asserted in Hukkeri on Wednesday that it was their clandestine agenda. He stated that while they laud Ambedkar openly, behind the scenes, they are plotting to amend the Constitution.
Kaliveera mentioned that the BJP adheres to the ideology of the RSS, which envisions replacing the Constitution with Manusmriti. He further alleged that the BJP and RSS collaborated to undermine the candidacy of Priyanka Jarkiholi in the Chikkodi constituency due to her father, Minister Satish Jarkiholi’s opposition to their ideology.
Sridhar explained that Hindutva organizations support Shambhu Kallolikar, an independent candidate from Chikkodi. “Although Mr. Kallolikar portrays himself as an independent candidate, he actually represents the BJP’s secondary team. The BJP anticipates that Mr. Kallolikar, a member of the Scheduled Castes, will divide the Scheduled Castes votes that would otherwise go to the Congress. However, this belief is mistaken as voters will discern this scheme,” he remarked.
