₹2 lakh, lacking proper documentation, was confiscated at the Kanabargi checkpoint on the outskirts of Belgaum. When election officials inspected Machendra Vitthala Shinde’s car as he traveled from Muchandi to Belgaum, they discovered he was carrying ₹2 lakh without proper documentation.
The election officials have seized this money.
