An unidentified group fatally attacked a Congress party member, Annappa Basappa Nimbal, in Belgaum district, Karnataka. The incident occurred along Khilegaon-Athani Road on the outskirts of the village in the district.
According to sources, a group of unidentified individuals assaulted him with sharp objects, causing severe bleeding. He eventually succumbed to his wounds. Police sources indicated that they are investigating various possibilities and stated that the murder did not appear to be politically motivated. Authorities have initiated an inquiry to apprehend the culprits.
