A man, driven by love, brutally killed the woman he loved using an ax in broad daylight. During the attack, he also harmed another woman and a two-year-old child who attempted to intervene. This tragic incident occurred in Shivaji Nagar, Khanapur, Nirmal District, instilling fear in the witnesses.
Alekhya, residing in Ambedkar Nagar Colony, Khanapur town, visited Khanapur market in the afternoon with her two-year-old daughter. After a stop at the tailoring shop, she purchased necessary items from the market and headed home. Tragically, upon reaching the Shivajinagar area, an assailant wielding an axe attacked Alekhya without warning. In her attempt to shield her companion, she was also targeted, resulting in injuries to both her and a two-year-old daughter.
Upon hearing their cries, onlookers could only react with panic. Alekhya was already immersed in a pool of blood, and as the crowd vociferously protested and attempted to confront the perpetrator, he fled the scene. Tragically, Alekhya succumbed to her injuries. Both she and her seriously injured daughter were swiftly taken to the hospital. Upon receiving the news, the police arrived promptly, conducting an investigation and actively seeking the assailant.
The police have a suspicion that Srikanth, a familiar acquaintance of Alekhya, is the assailant responsible for the attack. The initial inference suggests a possible motive related to a romantic involvement. Nonetheless, authorities have initiated a search for the fugitive suspect.
