The Union government has granted permission for the operation of a Vande Bharat Express train connecting Belgaum and Pune, as announced by Rajya Sabha member and BJP leader Iranna Kadadi in a statement. Ashwini Vaishnaw, the Railway Minister, has informed Mr. Kadadi through a letter about the Railway Ministry’s choice to initiate the operation of a high-speed luxury express train connecting the two cities. The MP mentioned that the dates for the inaugural run have not been disclosed yet.
In addition to assisting daily commuters, the train is expected to enhance trade, promote tourism, facilitate the transportation of agricultural goods, and provide convenience for students and patients traveling between the two states. Mr. Kadadi mentioned that A.S. Thakur, the Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting, has given a favorable response to his proposal to initiate AM and FM radio stations in Belgaum.
