TCS Institute in Bangalore faced a bomb threat on the morning of the 14th, leading to a swift response from the authorities. An anonymous caller claimed that a bomb was planted in the B block of the company building. Promptly, the company alerted the police, who conducted a thorough search, including the entire building and the vehicles transporting employees, revealing the threat to be a false alarm.
In the aftermath, it was discovered that the perpetrator behind the hoax call was identified as Shruti Shetty, a former female employee and Belgaum native. Shruti, who had left the company for higher studies, reportedly harbored resentment after the company declined to rehire her post-education. The incident unfolded on the morning of the 14th when she contacted a company bus driver, asserting the presence of a bomb in the ‘B’ block under an anonymous guise.
The vigilant bus driver immediately notified company staff, prompting a quick response and evacuation. Subsequent investigations by the Bengaluru Police revealed Shruti’s involvement. Despite her departure for higher studies, her discontent led to a disruptive and potentially dangerous situation. A police team is expected to travel to Belgaum for further interrogation of Shruti Shetty.
