Foundation laying ceremony for the Multi-Utility Facilitation Center (MUFC) building at Dharmnath Circle in Ashok Nagar Belagavi was held on Monday 6th November. This building is being developed by the Belagavi City Corporation and Belagavi Smart City Limited in a collaborative effort under a Public Private Partnership.
The City Center mall will be constructed by the Peninsular Builders and Developers Private Limited, which is a special-purpose vehicle firm, in Belagavi. The Multi-Utility Facilitation Center (MUFC) will be constructed by a joint venture between Planedge, Pune, and Hindustan Promoters and Developers Private Limited. The MUFC is being developed in Belagavi as a part of a smart city project. The shopping center will be constructed on a 3.15-acre piece of city land.
The Belagavi City Centre mall is planned with a total built-up area of 2.19 lakh square feet. The mall will include office spaces, retail stores, dining areas, and cinema halls. It will comprise a basement floor for parking and a ground floor with three upper floors.
The project of the City Center mall is scheduled to finish in 2026, taking approximately 36 months for construction. The concession period will last for 30 years.
Breakdown of the mall’s floor plan:
– Basement Floor: 88,608 sqft, accommodating 201 stack parking spaces for a total of 402 cars.
– Ground Floor: 77,400 sqft, housing 60 shops with carpeted areas.
– Upper Ground Floor: 78,500 sqft, featuring 70 shops, the Corporation office, and carpeted areas.
– First Floor: 78,500 sqft, offering 82 shops, office spaces, and carpeted areas.
– Second Floor: 77,400 sqft, comprising 20 shops, a multiplex, food courts
