“We will not permit former Ministers from Basavaraj Bommai’s government or other BJP leaders implicated in misconduct to evade legal consequences by affiliating with the Congress,” declared Satish Jarkiholi, the Minister for Public Works and KPCC working president, during his address in Belagavi on Sunday.
In response to a query, he affirmed that the State administration would persist with investigations into alleged irregularities committed during the tenure of the BJP government, even if the implicated Ministers choose to join the Congress party.
Addressing the formation of an inquiry committee to investigate allegations of improprieties during the COVID-19 period, Mr. Jarkiholi emphasized that whether D. Sudhakar, the former Health Minister, joins the Congress or not is irrelevant. If the committee establishes his involvement in the irregularities, appropriate action will be taken against him.
He underlined the Congress government’s commitment to safeguarding the rights of minority communities. He assured that these communities would be assured of their safety and entitled to all the privileges and protections enshrined in the Constitution.
