An incident of motorcycle theft occurred at the Market Police Station in Belagavi, where motorcycles parked on Khadebazar Road were stolen, falling under the Market Police Station’s jurisdiction.
To conduct a thorough investigation, a team led by Mr. Barmani, ACP of the Market Sub-Division in Belgaum, was assembled. The team, which included Mr. Mahantesh K Dhamannavar, PI of Market, along with other personnel, managed to apprehend two suspects:
Santosh Shivappa Bevinakoppa (29) from Inchal Savadatti.
Abubakar Sikandar Savadi (21) from Near Srinagar Garden, Belagavi.
The team successfully seized a total of 6 motorcycles, with an estimated value of Rs. 2,40,000/-. Among the seized bikes were Spender-3, CD Deluxe-1, Activa-1, and Hero Maestro-1. The accused individuals have been subjected to legal proceedings, and the investigation into the matter is currently underway.
