SFS, a leading mobile components manufacturer, is eagerly exploring the establishment of a unit in Belagavi with an investment of Rs. 250 crores. The company has formally requested the government for a generous allocation of 30 acres of land in the region.
Minister MB Patil, responsible for large and medium industries, shared his thoughts following a meeting on Wednesday with SFS delegates led by Faras Shaw, the company’s CFO. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss and exchange ideas concerning SFS’s proposed project. Expressing his appreciation for the proposal, the Minister stated that a decision would be made subsequent to a thorough review of the proposal.
SFS has successfully established an operational aerospace components unit in Belagavi. As a prominent manufacturer of mobile components for renowned companies like Apple, SFS now expresses its interest in expanding its presence in Belagavi with a new branch.
The company’s director, Prashant Kore, along with the presence of Gunjan Krishna, the Commissioner of the Industries Department, emphasized that this expansion is expected to create approximately 500 direct job opportunities for technologists over the course of the next three years.
