The Karnataka Winter Session will be held in Belagavi from December 2 to December 11, as announced in an official notice by the Legislative Assembly Secretariat. The nine-day session includes a sitting on Saturday, a decision made by the government after the original schedule of ten days from November 30 to December 11 was altered due to the by-election in the Hireguru Assembly constituency. The Department of Parliamentary Affairs had initially sent the file to the Governor for approval but retrieved it on the government’s instruction to reschedule the dates. The revised timeline was forwarded to Principal Secretary Shalini Rajnesh, and the final decision was taken at the Cabinet meeting held yesterday. Government sources confirmed that discussions were held regarding the eight-day session spanning from December 2 to 11.
