Belagavi City Corporation Commissioner Kartik M announced that the city is preparing for a systematic Ganeshotsav celebration. Within BCC limits, works have begun to prevent any inconvenience during idol installation and immersion, while potholes are being filled and procession routes cleaned. He warned that traffic will intensify for 11 days as visitors from across the state and beyond converge, and said the corporation is coordinating continuously with the police and Hescom for proper arrangements.
Immersion pits have been inspected and necessary facilities arranged, with technical assistance promised during the submersion of the Ganesha idols. The commissioner appealed to the officebearers of Ganeshotsav mandals and the general public to cooperate with the civic body and other departments to ensure the utsav proceeds smoothly.
