A wrestler turned himself in after murdering a construction worker in Gudikatte village near Bailhongal, Belagavi district, on Monday.
The accused, 58-year-old Basavaraj Kallayya Pujar, confessed to the police that he killed 48-year-old Basavaraj Kumbar.
Kumbar, a resident of Katageri in Bagalkot district, had been hired to construct a house on Pujar’s farm. However, disagreements arose over the construction plans, leading to a heated conflict.
Unable to tolerate the differences, Pujar fatally attacked Kumbar with a stone.
Dodawad Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation.
