A 60-year-old farmer sustained injuries following a bear attack near Kanakumbi village in Karnataka’s Belagavi district on June 25.
The victim, Dashrath Warandikar, said he was grazing his cattle near the forest edge when the animal attacked him. He sustained facial injuries and was admitted to the district hospital, where he is currently recovering, according to police.
Forest and police officials have inspected the site of the incident.
