In a recent incident near Shahabandar village in Belagavi district’s Hukkeri taluk, two individuals were apprehended by police for brandishing a sword in a public area.
Halappa Dyamappa Katabali (25) from Bammanatti village in Belgaum taluk and Nagaraja Dyamappa Katabali (21) from Chikaladinni village in Hukkeri taluk were arrested.
The duo was reportedly spotted near Valmiki Circle at Shahbandar Cross carrying swords, allegedly hurling abuses and spreading panic among locals.
Following the incident, Yamakanamardi police took both suspects into custody. A case has been filed at the Yamakanamardi Police Station.
