A tragic sequence of accidents involving eight vehicles near Sthwanidhi Ghat in Nippani taluk has resulted in two deaths and six serious injuries in Belagavi. The incident, caused by the negligent driving of a container vehicle, has left the death toll potentially rising.
The chain-reaction collision involved a container striking three cars, two lorries, another container, and a motorcycle. The biker and a car passenger were killed instantly.
The injured are receiving treatment at Nippani Hospital. The Nippani Shahar Police have inspected the scene, and the incident occurred within the jurisdiction of the Nippani Shahar Police Station.
