In a tragic accident near Devar Sheegihalli Cross, close to Itagi Cross in Channamma Kittur taluk, three daily wage workers lost their lives on the spot on the morning of Sunday, June 1.
As per initial reports, the victims were en route to a work site in a tipper vehicle along the highway when a car rammed into the vehicle from behind. The impact caused the workers to fall onto the road, where they were subsequently run over by another vehicle, leading to their immediate deaths.
The identities of the deceased are yet to be officially established. Police have reached the location and initiated an investigation. Further details are awaited.
