The Tilakwadi police have arrested a man in connection with the theft of gold ornaments from a locker at the Indian Bank located at Second Cross, Bhagya Nagar in Anagol.
The accused has been identified as Chandrakanta Balaji Jorli (32), a resident of Karaguppi village in Hukkeri taluk.
According to police, a total of 143 grams of gold jewellery, including rings, chains, necklaces, and mangalsutras, worth around ₹14 lakh, was seized from his possession.
