In Beedi village near Khanapur in Belagavi district, locals killed a street dog on Thursday after it bit three children.
The children—Aradhya Kali, Laxmi Kali, and Nidha Shamshed—were playing outside when the dog chased them. Though they rushed into a nearby house for safety, the dog followed and bit them.
Angered by the incident, villagers stoned the dog to death.
The injured children were taken to a hospital for treatment.
