Belagavi District Minister Satish Jarkiholi announced that the Crime Investigation Department (CID) will probe fraud cases involving microfinance companies that have allegedly victimized thousands of women across Belagavi district. Speaking at the district stadium after hoisting the tricolor on the 76th Republic Day, the minister stated, “Given that the fraud amounts to hundreds of crores, a CID investigation is necessary.”
