In a significant move to enhance regional air connectivity, Star Air is set to introduce two new flight routes from Belagavi and upgrade its existing service to Mumbai starting May 2025. These changes aim to improve convenience and accessibility for travelers flying to and from the city.
New Belagavi–Hyderabad Service Starting May 20
Beginning May 20, 2025, Star Air will launch a new connection between Belagavi and Hyderabad. The flight will operate twice weekly, on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Flight S5119 will depart Belagavi at 8:00 AM, reaching Hyderabad at 9:05 AM. The return flight, S5120, will leave Hyderabad at 4:35 PM, landing back in Belagavi at 5:40 PM. Introductory fares for this route will start at ₹3,099, with the service being operated by the 50-seater Embraer ERJ 145 jet, known for its efficiency and comfort.
Bengaluru–Belagavi Flights Launch on May 1
Starting May 1, 2025, a new thrice-weekly flight service between Bengaluru and Belagavi will be introduced by Star Air.
Flight S5105 will depart Bengaluru at 2:00 PM and arrive in Belagavi at 3:10 PM on Mondays, Thursdays, and Sundays. The return flight, S5106, will leave Belagavi at 9:00 PM and reach Bengaluru by 10:10 PM. Like the Hyderabad route, this service will also be operated using the ERJ 145.
Mumbai Route Gets Larger Aircraft from May 15
Due to increased demand, Star Air will upgrade its daily Belagavi–Mumbai flight starting May 15, 2025. The current ERJ 145 will be replaced by the larger Embraer ERJ 175, a 76-seater jet offering more capacity and enhanced onboard amenities.
Flight S5111 will depart Belagavi at 7:40 AM, arriving in Mumbai at 8:50 AM, with the return flight, S5112, leaving Mumbai at 4:50 PM and reaching Belagavi by 6:00 PM.
These developments reinforce Belagavi’s growing importance as a regional air hub, offering passengers in North Karnataka improved travel options that are faster, more frequent, and more comfortable.
