Activists of Sri Ram Sena have installed banners featuring Benjamin Netanyahu, Narendra Modi, and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj at various locations across Belagavi, in response to earlier posters of Ali Khamenei seen in the city.
The banners were put up under the leadership of Sri Ram Sena founder-president Pramod Muthalik as part of the Ugadi festival greetings.
One of the banners shows Prime Minister Narendra Modi alongside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. It also includes an image of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj portrayed during the killing of Afzal Khan.
As per local sources, members of the Muslim community had earlier displayed banners in Belagavi condemning the killing of Iran’s leader Ali Khamenei. In reaction, Sri Ram Sena members erected fresh banners featuring Netanyahu and other prominent figures.
